  9. *   QuickLink MessageCenter can now share the comm port with 
  10.     other applications.

  15. *   If you find that your system has trouble dialing
  16.     when it is about to make a call to your pager, you
  17.     can create an entry in the QLMCW.CFG file in the
  18.     [Setup Options] section that will cause a delay
  19.     before the pager dialing occurs.   The number is
  20.     in seconds.

  24. *   The maximum number of rings upon which the system will 
  25.     answer for voice mode is 15 rings.   If the system is set 
  26.     for voice and fax, the number of rings to answer is 
  27.     determined by the setting under 'Voice Hardware Setup' 
  28.     and not the number of rings under 'Modem Setup'.

  33. *   If you are using the SPEAKER.DRV driver to play wave sounds through
  34.     your PC speaker, then you MUST be sure that the speaker driver is
  35.     set to allow interrupts during playback.   If the interrupts are
  36.     not enabled during playback, then the modem may fail to maintain 
  37.     the phone connection during a local operator page.  To check on 
  38.     the setting, open the Control Panel, select "Drivers", then
  39.     select "Sound Driver for PC Speaker".   If the "Sound Driver
  40.     for PC Speaker" is absent, then you do not have to be concerned.
  41.     If the "Sound Driver for PC Speaker" is present, then select it
  42.     and then press the "Setup..." button.   In the dialog, make sure
  43.     that the "Enable interrupts during playback" checkbox is checked.

  45. Mailbox Information:
  46. --------------------

  48. *   The default mailbox greeting file for the primary
  49.     greeting is 'GREETING.GSM'.
  50. *   The default mailbox greeting file for the secondary
  51.     greeting is 'SECONDRY.GSM'.
  52. *   The default auxiliary message voice file for each mailbox is 
  53.     'AUXILARY.GSM'.
  54. *   The voice file which specifies the mailboxes available for access 
  55.     is called 'MAINMAIL.GSM' and can be played or recorded only
  56.     in multiple mailbox mode by pressing the 'Greeting' button 
  57.     in the toolbar, pressing CTRL+G or selecting 'Greeting'
  58.     option under the Mailbox menu.
  59. *   The first greeting played when the system is accessed in multiple
  60.     mailbox mode is MAINMAIL.GSM and in single mailbox mode is
  61.     the primary or secondary greeting as selected in the ADMIN mailbox.
  62. *   The default message length is 60 seconds, not 90.
  63. *   The text listing the default outgoing messages is 
  64.     available in the online help.

  69. *   You must access user mailboxes by first pressing the '1' key on the 
  70.     keyboard or the handset.   A prompt will ask you to enter the number 
  71.     of the mailbox you wish to access.   Enter one of the numeric keys.   
  72. *   You will be prompted to enter the password for access to the 
  73.     private functions of a mailbox when accessing the system from remote
  74.     only if the "Enable password" option is checked in the particular
  75.     mailbox's setup dialog.  To reach these private functions from a 
  76.     mailbox, press '9'.
  77. *   Flash mail can be selected for an existing mailbox.   The feature can
  78.     be found under the Options menu in the Mailboxes program.  This controls
  79.     which mailbox is considered when the flash mail is enabled.  It is also
  80.     the mailbox that is used for Toll saver determination.

  87. Removing QuickLink MessageCenter Software:

  90. 1)  Remove all the files in the QuickLink subdirectories by issuing the 
  91.     following commands at the DOS prompt.  This assumes you installed the 
  92.     product to C:\QLMCW.
  93.     DEL C:\QLMCW\MCDATA
  94.     RD C:\QLMCW\MCDATA
  95.     DEL C:\QLMCW\OUTBOX
  96.     RD C:\QLMCW\OUTBOX
  97.     DEL C:\QLMCW\ADMIN\ARCHIVE

  102. 2)  For every voice mailbox you created, do the following:
